Served by 4,500km of waterways, the department of the Dordogne has a rich and varied waterway network. This variety is essentially due to the varied geology of the terrain through which the waterways in Périgord pass.The northern part of the department, Périgord Vert, is characterised by a crystalline geological bedrock of granite and gneiss.

Fishing of all sorts is free and open all year.

On site you will find two fishing lakes, one of which is 2 hectares in area, reserved for the use of those who rent the chalets, gîtes yurts and cabins.

Fishing from a boat is possible. Remember to bring your tackle! Many carp of between 6 and 30lbs, roach, gudgeon, tench, bream mostly but also pike, zander, perch.

The lake is maintained and re-stocked every year. You also have the advantage of being right next to a listed first class river (rivière 1ère catégorie), la Gane, and to the Lac de Rouffiac, (40 hectares) 4 km away.
